The BayWood Artists are a small group of professional plein air artists dedicated to preserving the Bay Area lands they love by doing what they do best – paint! Each year, they select an environmental nonprofit to support through their art. When they learned that AIA is working with State Park staff to care for and restore the island’s shoreline, they chose AIA. Their Angel Island paintings were exhibited at the Bay Model, Sausalito, October 24 – November 17, 2008.
The BayWood Artists donated 50% of the proceeds from the sale of all their paintings to AIA! AIA co-hosted the artists reception at the Bay Model on October 24th with a special invitation to AIA members and donors.
