Come experience fresh air at a beautiful family-friendly location with hiking and picnicking, history from the Miwok people, Spanish discovery, WWI, WW2, and an old Nike Missile Site! A wonderful place to volunteer, especially with a 360 view of the Historic San Francisco Bay from atop Mt. Livermore as a backdrop!
Angel Island State Park sees several thousand people during the week. On the weekend we have tours of the Immigration Station, re-enactors in uniform populate the Civil War Bake-house, the WWII Guard house and Chapel, and we even have a cannon firing at Camp Reynolds! |
We are looking for volunteers to work in our Welcome Center in beautiful Ayala Cove on Angel Island. Responsibilities include interacting with local and international visitors to provide directions and light history, selling interpretive merchandise, cash handling and maintaining our Information Station. The Information Station is run through a co-operation between the Angel Island Conservancy and the State Parks for the purposes of educating the visitors and raising funds to support rehabilitation projects on the Island. |
Looking forward to working with you! Please contact us to volunteer.
